About Cybarete
Cybarete designs bespoke industrial and enterprise automation: from underground mining to knowledge-work workflows. We build systems that stay operable under noise, intermittent connectivity, and continuous operations.
What we do
We build automation systems for noisy signals, intermittent connectivity, constrained compute, safety requirements, and continuous operations. Our work spans industrial environments and enterprise workflows where off-the-shelf automation does not fit.
We do not sell a generic template. We partner with teams to design and deliver fit-for-purpose systems that integrate with existing operations, people, and constraints. That includes hardware, firmware, and enterprise software, plus consulting on technology adoption where it helps teams run the operation.
How we work
We bring a systems engineering mindset to automation: clear boundaries, explicit interfaces, and designs that remain stable as complexity grows. Where appropriate, we apply holonic principles, building systems as cooperating wholes and parts, to support resilience, delegation, and evolution over time.
In practice that means automation that stays understandable as it scales, keeps working when tags drop or the network blips, and connects what happens underground or on the shop floor to the people making decisions upstream.
Where we work
Based in Stellenbosch, South Africa and Colorado, United States, we work with mining and manufacturing operations and the enterprise teams that support them, especially where the environment is harsh, the constraints are real, and the system must run continuously.
